Do I need to practice safe sex?
Man has made progress in several directions, and one
of the main progresses he has made includes protecting
individuals from diseases in its various forms. This
has taken a great deal of research in order to prove
which methods are most successful, and thus shows the
willingness and need for man to progress in a direction
that would make people safer than they were before.
Though it may appear to be a contemporary
practice, it must be asserted that protection from diseases
in various forms is a concept that is old. However,
it must be asserted that the means used for protection
was limited in the past. In contemporary times, the
wide range of safety has increased. The awareness of
it all has also helped spread the variety of ways used
too. Protection of disease is also carried out when
one is involved in sexual activity. This may also be
referred to as practicing safe sex. In fact, it is the
most common form of precaution used in contemporary
times. Though medical precautions used are common for
other disease prevention as well, it is prevention against
sexually transmitted diseases that count considerably.
Safe Sex for Preventing Sexually
Transmitted Diseases:
Prevention against sexually transmitted diseases is
an issue of great concern because of the fact that there
are many people who have been drastically affected with
sexually transmitted diseases in the past; they have
been affected so severely that they have succumbed to
their illnesses. Many well known people have died of
diseases such as AIDS and other diseases because of
not practicing safe sex. People do not have to die because
of the prevalence of these diseases. One has to be precautious
about their sexual activity and follow what advice is
given to the public. It is not as though prevention
of these diseases is a big secret and is not like one
has to buy expensive paraphernalia in order to be safe.
In truth, one hardly needs to spend anything on contraceptive
sheaths and the like to practice safe sex. This does
not mean that all contraceptive measures are cheap,
as there are many that are expensive. However, the bulk
of them are cheap, and this means that the power is
one’s own hands when it comes to protecting him
or herself.
Preventing Pregnancy:
The two modes of contraception that are commonly known
for safe sex include the method that protects and prevents
the exchange of fluids, and the method allows the exchange
of fluids. The latter method, which allows the exchange
of fluids, is one that cannot protect one from sexually
transmitted diseases. It is one that does however pregnant
a woman from getting pregnant. This is because there
is a hormonal process that the pills interact with in

that practicing safer sex is good for two major reasons.
The first is that sexually
transmitted diseases are prevented, and the second
is that undesired pregnancies are also curtailed.
