Infertility
One of the few conditions in which
women may not be able to reproduce is called infertility.
This is a condition in which women fail to get pregnant.
This may be because of several reasons, some of which
are most common and others rare. The most common reasons
why women become infertile include not having a menstrual
cycle in order. Women without a menstrual fail to get
pregnant because the uterus never becomes a favorable
area for implantation of an egg (ovum). Aside from lacking
a proper menstrual cycle, women may have problems in
their fallopian tubes; these are the tubes from where
the ova emerge to settle in the uterus after being fertilized.
One common cause of this taking place is a due to having
abortions. Some abortion processes block the fallopian
tubes, resulting in the ova not being able to emerge.
Hence, a pregnancy cannot occur and a woman turns infertile.
In addition to infertility taking place
this way, it must also be asserted that infertility
could be a natural deficiency as well. By birth, there
are several individuals born with natural deficiencies.
Some people may even have a regular menstrual cycle
and still be naturally infertile. However, there are
measures that can be taken in order to make fertile.
This may include administering appropriate medication
or even operations in order to open up the fallopian
tubes.
In addition to opening the fallopian
tubes, it must be asserted that there are also some
women that can become pregnant but still cannot have
children, and therefore may be considered infertile.
However, modern methods have provided a solution to
this problem for women too. Alternative methods in such
cases include removing the ova from the ovaries or fallopian
tubes and having them artificially fertilized. Once
fertilization has taken place and the zygote develops
to a particular size, it is replaced inside the uterus
when suitable conditions occur.
