Common male Hormonal disorder

Biologically, males and females are different even though they share a great many similarities. They both share common organs, but also have organs that are different too. This is what makes the difference, as these organs are related to the hormones that are secreted in their bodies. It must be noted that these hormones have particular functions and without them in their correct concentration have different consequences that may be observed in the form of disorders.

Both males and females are known to suffer from different types of disorders. Each of the sexes has different hormone levels, and it is in on the basis of these hormones that their health is defined. Just like women go through a period of menopause when their hormone levels decline and they need estrogen therapy, a similar situation occurs with men. However, this is known to occur much later in life. Indeed, males past the age of 70 are known to suffer with a condition known as Andropause. This is because of a decline in the level of testosterone; it is said that the level of testosterone in the blood stream of a male more than 70 years of age is almost the same as a child at pre-puberty.

Indeed, it is obvious that the drop in the level of the male hormone is something that changes his behavior as well. If this drop in hormone level happen to occur while a man is younger, his sexual interests at an age when he should be active, decline significantly.
Testosterone is hormone that is known to drive men; it is a hormone that is important for many functions in the body.

It is believed that conditions in older males such as prostrate swelling is due to lowered testosterone levels in the body. This means that what many believed years ago to be a natural aging condition is now something that can be prevented through hormone replacement. Though this process has side effects as well, it is one that many are taking to. By taking a hormone to cover up a deficiency one can prevent a condition; prostrate condition is an example. However, there may be side effects in view of the glands that originally produce these hormones. It is thought that these glands may cease to function effectively while the replacement therapy over whelms the glands.

In addition to the common thought about testosterone being the sex hormone in a man, it is also known that this hormone is responsible for the well-being of a man. In a young child it is responsible for the differences that appear. In spite of the level being low, it must be asserted that it is important for young boys in making them look different to the opposite sex. At the time of puberty, it helps males develop physically and mentally as well.

It is also known that this hormone has a severe impact on the moods of males. A surge or reduction in the level of testosterone causes one to become erratic of sluggish. A proper balance of this hormone means that one’s mood would be what is should be. This means that one should not be edgy or erratic and should also not be sluggish. One can see that older men tend to be sluggish or lack the vigor that younger men have. Certainly, age itself is a factor that counts, but research has revealed that it is testosterone that plays a vital role in male behavior as well.
